The New Yorker
A few favorite ads from back in the day that still hold up today. For Volkswagen's Rabbit, our assignment was to create a small space ad for a regional paper, but we turned it it into an Athena Award winner for Best Newspaper Ad. (The copy between the letters "a" and "b" reads: "The cheapest way to go from a to b.") For The New Yorker, we were tasked with changing media buyers’ perceptions that the magazine was only for stodgy old literary types, so we produced ads that dispelled that notion by letting their illustrious artists lead the way.
